Zelus Hicks grew up following the Georgia Bulldogs
Know the name Zelus Hicks. It is only a matter of time before he emerges as a top prospect in the class of 2026.
Over the summer, before he started high school, Hicks, a 6-foot-3, 175-pound athlete camped at Georgia. Not once did he go over to Athens to work with the Georgia coaches, but twice.
The freshman at Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview got to work with Will Muschamp, Fran Brown, some Georgia players, and other staff members in Athens. He started game one for a loaded Parkview team last week and he is using what he learned over the summer early in his high school career.
“I got a lot of work in with the Georgia coaches this summer,” Hicks told On3. “They worked with me on things I could improve on, they told me what they liked about me, and I got a lot of good work at Georgia.
“They worked with me on my technique, I learned new drills, and both the coaches and some of the players really helped me. The Georgia coaches helped me a lot going into my freshman season.”

In a big win over Johns Creek, Hicks picked off a pass. He was in on numerous plays out of the free safety position and as his tape gets out, interest will pick up.
He is already on Georgia’s radar.
“I grew up a big fan of Georgia’s. My dad loves Georgia, so I have always liked them. I have camped there, I was at a game last season, and I like a lot about Georgia.
“The fans are great, I love the environment, and the coaches are great. I want to get back for another game this season.”
No offers are in yet for Hicks. When they start, one from Georgia would mean a little more.
“If Georgia offers me, that would hit my heart,” Hicks said. “I am from Georgia, it is my home state, and it is the school I have grown up a fan of. That is definitely an offer I want.”
