Montgomery (Ala.) Tallassee three-star wide receiver Ziggy Holloway stepped on Georgia Southern’s campus recently and felt at home.

Holloway has now committed to the Eagles. Holloway is the fourth commit the Eagles have landed in the class of 2024 so far. He also plays in the secondary and could play on defense at the college level.

Georgia Southern was one of the programs that made the 6-foot, 185-pound playmaker feel welcomed, prioritized and special. Those feelings help carry Holloway’s heart to Statesboro.

“I recently visited Georgia Southern and it all just felt like a home to me,” Holloway told On3. “The coaches always stayed in contact and always showed love to my family.”

Statesboro felt very familiar to Holloway once he got on campus. The campus had a feeling that was similar to where he comes from in Montgomery.

“It’s amazing on campus,” Holloway said. “It’s what I’m used to at home and I just connected when I got there.”

Holloway felt honored that the Georgia Southern coaching staff valued his skillset. Holloway will always remember the opportunity that the Eagles’ staff is giving him.

“I am really thankful that the coaches trust in my ability to offer me,” Holloway said.

Holloway connected with cornerbacks coach Kevin Whitley during his recruitment.

“Coach Whitney and the guys are really great and I believe they can help me get to the next level,” Holloway said.

Holloway feels Georgia Southern is on the rise in the Sun Belt. The group of players coming in the class of 2024 as well as some of the transfer portal moves that have been made in recent years has Holloway excited about the direction things are going under Clay Helton.

“I feel like they also have other guys coming in that will help the program win more games,” Holloway said.
