4-star linebacker Grant Tucker locks in Georgia Tech official visit
A little more than a week after receiving an offer from Georgia Tech, four-star Charlotte (N.C.) Christian linebacker Grant Tucker has locked in an official visit with the Yellow Jackets.
Tucker tweeted Friday morning that he will head to Atlanta June 10-12, for what is currently his first official.
The 6-foot-3, 183-pounder is the No. 290 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 23 linebacker and the No. 12 player in North Carolina this cycle.

Tucker currently holds more than a dozen offers, including North Carolina, Penn State, Tennessee and Virginia Tech. However, he has been mostly quiet on the recruiting trail, taking only one known visit — to North Carolina — since the start of the new year. Georgia Tech has quickly made an impact, though, and will look to move toward the top of his recruitment next weekend on his visit.
As a junior last season playing wide receiver, Grant Tucker notched 26 catches for 297 yards and four touchdowns. On defense, he finished with 34 tackles, five TFLs, two sacks, three QB hurries, an interception, and a forced fumble.
