4-star safety Trajen Greco decommits from Georgia Tech
After initially committing to the Yellow Jackets back in June, Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek four-star safety Trajen Greco decommitted from Georgia Tech, he tells On3.
On3 rates Greco higher than every other major recruiting service. He is the No. 126 overall prospect in the 2024 On300 — the No. 9 safety and No. 15 recruit from Georgia.
“It’s all positive. I’m thankful for the opportunity I got with Georgia Tech,” Greco told On3. “It’s nothing personal, really, I feel like I rushed my decision in June and I didn’t give myself the chance to explore enough opportunities and stuff. So I want to be able to get out of my comfort zone, view some other places and just face the challenge, really, to be honest.”
Final decision on the horizon
Greco already has an official visit on record with Tulane and an unofficial visit to Missouri in the books in November — two schools that remain in the mix for Greco along with Georgia Tech and Kentucky.

Mill Creek won a state title last season. Their season came to end Friday night with a loss to Camden County in the quarterfinals. Now Greco will move forward and work to make his decision.
“The final decision is just being able to challenge myself and be able to get developed,” Greco said. “Just be able to make it to the next level after college football. That’s the end goal for most recruits. Just being able to go to a program that could develop me and make me a better person, get me out of my comfort zone and just get me where I want to be.”
Greco currently holds an On3 NIL Valuation of $65,000. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
