4-star SG Akai Fleming commits to Georgia Tech
Akai Fleming, a four-star shooting guard in the 2025 class, has committed to Georgia Tech, he tells On3.
The 6-foot-4 junior out of Marietta (GA) Osborne chose to play for Damon Stoudamire and the in-state Yellow Jackets over offers from Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, and others.
Fleming discussed his decision with On3.
“I chose Georgia Tech because it’s close to home,” Fleming said. “Also, I was able to build a relationship with coach Stoudamire and the staff and having the NBA experience on the staff, I feel like help take my game to the next level.”
In his own words, what type of player is Georgia Tech getting in Akai Fleming?
“I would say I have a sound and poised game. My ability to breakdown defenders and get to my spots and being able to score on all three levels effectively.”
