3-star DL Elijah Douglas decommits from Georgia Tech
Pensacola (Fla.) Pine Forest three-star defensive lineman Elijah Douglas has decommitted from Georgia Tech. He was previously pledged to the Yellow Jackets since June 12.
Douglas is the No. 1,182 overall prospect and No. 126 defensive lineman in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 168 player in Florida.
“First off I would like to thank coach Turner and coach Waston for the opportunity to play football and continue my academic career at Georgia Tech,” Douglas said in a statement published to social media. “Thank you!! With plenty talks with my family and the man above, I will be decommitting from Georgia Tech, and opening up my recruitment 100%.”
Georgia Tech’s 2023 recruiting class now contains 15 prospects. The group ranks No. 58 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 12 in the ACC.

A 6-foot-4, 275-pound prospect, Douglas is the Yellow Jackets’ second decommitment in two days. Montgomery (Ala.) Montgomery Catholic Preparatory three-star cornerback L.J. Green backed off his pledge to Georgia Tech on Dec. 2.
Douglas has an On3 NIL Valuation of $5.3K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
