Georgia Tech is expected to hire former Notre Dame wide receivers coach Del Alexander as its new wide receivers coach, sources tell On3.

Alexander, who was with the Fighting Irish the last five seasons, worked with new Georgia Tech offensive coordinator Chip Long at both Notre Dame and Arizona State.

At Notre Dame, Alexander coached several current NFL wide receivers, including Pittsburgh Steelers 2020 second-round pick Chase Claypool, Baltimore Ravens 2019 third-round selection Miles Boykin and new Chicago Bears wide receiver Equanimeous St. Brown.

Alexander will replace Kerry Dixon, who left for a job with the Baltimore Ravens.
