Darrion Sutton, a four-star small forward, has committed to Georgia Tech, he told On3.

The 6-foot-8 senior ultimately chose the Yellow Jackets over Michigan, Kansas, and Florida State. Sutton dove into his decision to choose GT with On3.

“I chose GT because of my relationship with coach (Karl) Hobbs and with coach (Damon) Stoudamire,” he said. “Ever since I went on my visit it felt like a place I needed to be! My relationship with coach Stoudamire and coach Hobbs is amazing. Plus, they’ve been recruiting me since my sophomore year.”

Sutton has a message for the Georgia Tech fanbase.

“I’m going to bring a winning mentality and continue to turn the program around with coach Stoudamire. Go Yellow Jackets.”

Sutton Scouting Report

“Darrion Sutton is a lengthy lefty. The ball skills are intriguing. Listed at 6-8, he is comfortable one the ball and capable of making different reads at multiple levels in the half court. You like the defensive upside with his length and his athletic fluidity, especially in the passing lanes. He needs to continue developing the jump shot, become a threat from the outside. A connecting forward who can fill in the gaps on a team.” – On3’s Jamie Shaw
