Lindale (Texas) four-star interior offensive lineman Casey Poe received an offer from Georgia Tech Tuesday. He announced the news on Twitter.

Poe is the No. 229 overall prospect and No. 17 interior offensive lineman in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 37 player in Texas.

On3 rates Poe higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 32 overall prospect, No. 2 interior offensive lineman and No. 7 player in Texas.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pound Poe holds 11 Power Five offers.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine currently has Oklahoma with a slim lead over Texas Tech to land a commitment from Poe.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $8.5K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Casey Poe Scouting Summary

Sudden and physically dominant interior offensive line prospect who won a state championship in the shot put as a sophomore. Threw 57-foot-4 in the shot put and 129-foot-4 in the discus during his sophomore track and field season. Excellent hip flexibility and knee bend. Understands leverage and wins at the point of attack consistently. Violent in the run game and plays with tenacity. Terrific build and weight distribution throughout his frame. Lacks prototypical length to play on the outside but has the foot speed and body control to play tackle in a pinch. Need to see him maintain his athleticism as he adds mass. Has a chance to be the top interior lineman in the country.
