Georgia Tech offers 2024 3-star S Christian Peterson
Atlanta Westlake three-star safety Christian Peterson received an offer from Georgia Tech on Friday night. He announced the news over social media.
Peterson is the No. 362 overall prospect and No. 33 safety in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 46 player in Georgia.
The 5-foot-11, 185-pound defensive back holds 16 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race between Mississippi State (37.7%) and Ole Miss (33%).
RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.
It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
The Yellow Jackets currently have one commit in their 2024 recruiting class. Macon (Ga.) First Presbyterian Day School four-star quarterback Jakhari Williams, the No. 117 overall prospect in the 2024 On300, chose Georgia Tech on Nov. 21.
Peterson has an On3 NIL Valuation of $6.1K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
