Georgia Tech offers Georgia 2024 top-50 WR commit Ny Carr

Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County four-star wide receiver Ny Carr received an offer from Georgia Tech on Tuesday. He has been committed to Georgia since July 15.

Carr is the No. 49 overall prospect and No. 8 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 9 player in Georgia.

A 5-foot-10, 170-pound wideout, Carr currently holds 22 offers. He has taken unofficial visits to five programs, including the Bulldogs.

The four-star is one of six players in Georgia’s 2024 recruiting class. Others include Moultrie (Ga.) Colquitt County four-star tight end Landen Thomas, Clanton (Ala.) Chilton County four-star linebacker Demarcus Riddick, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) DeMatha Catholic four-star running back Tovani Mizell, Avon (Conn.) Avon Old Farms four-star quarterback Ryan Puglisi and Cartersville (Ga.) Cass three-star wide receiver Sacovie White.

Meanwhile, the Yellow Jackets currently have one commit in their 2024 recruiting class. Macon (Ga.) First Presbyterian Day School four-star quarterback Jakhari Williams, the No. 117 overall prospect in the On300, chose head coach Brent Key and his staff on Nov. 21.

Carr has an On3 NIL Valuation of $102K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

“Fluid route-runner who wins with ball tracking and creating yards after the catch. Shows excellent body control and balance in his route running and at the catch point. Solid production as a sophomore with 40 catches for 856 yards and 13 touchdowns for one of the top high school programs in Georgia. Three-sport athlete that jumped a 5’10” high jump in 2021 who also plays basketball. All-around skill set for the position who will continue to improve as he physically develops into his frame.”
