Kingsland (Ga.) Camden County three-star running back Jamie Felix has committed to Georgia Tech, announcing the news Sunday on social media.

He went on an official visit to the Flats this weekend.

The On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that uses all four major recruiting services, ranks Felix as the nation’s No. 516 overall prospect, the No. 41 running back, and the No. 49 player in the state of Texas for 2022.

The Yellow Jackets were the favorite to land Felix, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM).

RPM gave Georgia Tech a 36.5% chance of landing Jamie Felix before he announced his commitment. Tennessee was in second with 25.9% and UCF in third with 23.5%.

RPM was released to the public on Friday. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, expert predictions, social sentiment, visits, and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.
