South Carolina transfer WR Debron Gatling commits to Georgia Tech

South Carolina Gamecocks transfer wide receiver Debron Gatling is taking his talents to Atlanta, committing to join the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets via the NCAA Transfer Portal, he revealed via X.

Gatling played high school football at Milton (GA), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 807 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Singleton’s best performance of the season in Georgia Tech’s narrow 30-29 victory over NC State in Week 13. He finished the game with five catches for a season-high 106 yards. Singleton followed up the spectacular performance with eight catches for 86 total yards and a touchdown against Georgia.

Singleton’s standout sophomore effort was far from surprising. The Peach State native made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2023. In his debut campaign, Singleton amassed 48 receptions for 714 total yards and six scores.

For his efforts, Singleton was named a Freshman All-American by On3, along with numerous other outlets. Additionally, Singleton was an All-ACC Honorable Mention and finished second in voting for ACC Offensive Rookie of the Year.
