Gonzaga's Dusty Stromer plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal

Gonzaga’s Dusty Stromer plans to enter his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal per On3’s Joe Tipton.
Tipton reported the entry by Stromer on Monday. That came via his representation with Excel Sports Management.
“NEWS: Gonzaga guard Dusty Stromer is entering the transfer portal, per his agent James Dunleavy from Excel Sports Management,” tweeted Tipton.
Stromer spent the past two seasons with the Bulldogs. In that time through his sophomore year, Stromer averaged 4.6 points (38.5% FG, 35.1% 3PT) and 2.7 rebounds per game in his 69 appearances for the ‘Zags.

Stromer was previously one of the top additions in recruiting for Gonzaga. He, a native of Sherman Oaks, California, played in high school at Notre Dame. He was the No. 47 overall prospect there as a four-star in the 2023 cycle. He also rated as the No. 10 SG and player out of his state in the class. That’s according to On3’s Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. With that, Stromer was their highest-rated recruit in any of the past three classes in Spokane.
As of now, Stromer is the only departure in the portal to this point of the new cycle for Gonzaga. He’ll now be looking elsewhere for his next collegiate program to transfer to.
