Los Angeles (Calif.) Harvard Westlake four-star recruit Robert Hinton tells On3 he has committed to Harvard.

Hinton, a 6-foot-5 class of 2024 combo guard, chose the Crimson over Princeton and others. He is ranked as the No. 97 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Consensus, the average ranking from all four major recruiting media companies.

Hinton on his commitment to Harvard

“I chose Harvard because I felt like it was the perfect place for me,” Hinton said to On3. “The coaching staff, the players, and the culture at Harvard were all amazing. I instantly felt that Harvard was the place for me. Harvard has the best of both worlds. I will be able to play high-level ball and get a chance to go to the big dance every year. I will also be able to graduate college with one of the most prestigious degrees in the world.”

What type of player is Harvard getting in Robert Hinton?

“I think the program sees me as a player with a high motor and can impact games on both sides of the court,” Hinton says. “From guarding multiple positions of other teams to ripping down a lot of rebounds and controlling the pace of games. Coach (Tommy) Amaker and the Harvard coaching staff believe in me and believe they can take me to the next level, and I am ready for that.”

Hinton has a message for Harvard fans.

“I want Harvard fans to know that I am going to be incredibly proud to represent that school and that jersey.”
