Report: Hawaii QB Brayden Schager will withdraw from NCAA transfer portal, rejoin team
Hawaii quarterback Brayden Schager will reportedly withdraw from the NCAA transfer portal, according to Stephen Tsai of the Star Advertiser.
Head coach Timmy Chang confirmed the move as Hawaii gets the No. 8 ranked quarterback in the transfer portal back, per the On3 Industry rankings. Schager originally entered the portal back on December 6th.
But now, he’s back for his senior season in 2024.
Last season, he set career highs with 3,542 yards, 26 touchdowns, 14 interceptions and a 63.2% completion percentage. In Schager’s career, he has 6,505 yards, 41 touchdowns, 29 interceptions and a 59.9% completion percentage in three seasons.
As a member of the Class of 2021, Schager was a three-star recruit out of Dallas (Texas) Highland Park, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 216 overall prospect in the state, the No. 90 quarterback in the class and the No. 1,344 overall prospect in the class.
