2025 QB Jamison Kitna decommits from Houston
Liberty Township (Ohio) Lakota East 2025 three-star quarterback Jamison Kitna has decommitted from Houston, he announced on social media. He had been committed to the Cougars since August 1.
“I’d like to first thank Jesus Christ for the positions he has allowed me to be in,” Kitna said. “Next, I’d like to thank the Houston staff and coach Holgerson for recruiting me and being the first school to offer. With those things being said and the staff change at Houston, I’m opening up my recruitment and decommitting from Houston!”
Kitna plays high school football at Lakota East for his father, Jon Kitna, who spent 17 years as a quarterback in the NFL.

“With the recruiting process, he helps me know what to look for and what I’m looking for in a program,” Jamison told On3 in the spring. “You get to weed through all the recruiting pitches like, ‘Oh, come here and this and come here and that.’ You find out what’s true and what’s not by weeding through what’s not as important. The developmental piece is building a QB from the ground up, so knowing what it takes, what I need to do and where I need to be.”
Kitna is the nation’s No. 639 overall prospect and No. 54 quarterback in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 23 player in Ohio.
