2024 IOL Caleb Pyfrom decommits from Illinois
Omaha (Neb.) Central three-star offensive lineman Caleb Pyfrom has decommitted from Illinois.
He previously committed to the Illini at the end of June over offers from Colorado, Minnesota, Nebraska and a handful of other programs.
“After talking with my family we have decided to open back up my recruitment,” he wrote on Twitter announcing his decision.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pounder is the No. 604 overall prospect in the 2024 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 50 offensive lineman and the No. 5 recruit in Nebraska.

With Pyfrom’s decommitment, the Fighting Illini are now down to 17 commitments in the 2024 cycle, ranking No. 47 nationally in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
The in-state Huskers were a factor in his recruitment before he committed to Illinois and almost certainly will be again. Nebraska currently has the No. 6 class in the Big Ten and No. 23 nationally with four commitments along the offensive line. Missouri has also hosted Pyfrom for a visit this fall and likely will have him back on campus before the December Early Signing Period.
