2024 top-200 WR Jeremiah McClellan visiting Illinois this weekend

St. Louis (Mo.) Christian Brothers College four-star wide receiver Jeremiah McClellan is visiting Illinois this weekend for the Fighting Illini’s game against Minnesota. He announced the news over social media on Friday afternoon.

McClellan is the No. 192 overall prospect and No. 31 wide receiver in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 5 player in Missouri.

On3 rates McClellan higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is the No. 29 wide receiver and No. 4 player in Missouri.

The 5-foot-10.5, 190 pound prospect has received 25 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race for his commitment. Missouri currently has the highest chance for McClellan’s pledge at 26.6%, while Arkansas is close behind at 15.8%. Notre Dame has the third-best odds at 13.5%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

McClellan’s trip to Champaign will be his fourth overall visit this season. Last weekend, he was at Ohio State for the Buckeyes’ game against Rutgers.

Illinois’ 2024 recruiting class does not contain any commitments. Meanwhile, the Fighting Illini’s 2023 class is No. 63 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 13 in the Big Ten.

McClellan has an On3 NIL Valuation of $14.7K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
