2025 OT Griffin Rousseau commits to Illinois
Stoughton (Wisc.) three-star offensive tackle Griffin Rousseau has committed to Illinois, he announced on Monday.
He chose the Fighting Illini while also holding offers from Syracuse and Duke.
Rousseau is the No. 591 overall prospect and No. 48 OT in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 6 player in Wisconsin.
The 6-foot-6, 180-pounder made multiple trips to Champaign throughout his recruitment and is now pledged to Bret Bielema and Co. He’s now the third commit in Illinois’ 2025 recruiting class, joining Tinley Park (Ill.) Victor J Andrew interior OL Michael McDonough and Saint Louis Cardinal Ritter quarterback Carson Boyd.

With National Signing Day right around the corner to officially cap off the 2024 cycle, Illinois currently has the No. 43 class in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Headlining that class is Mount Pleasant (Mich.) four-star IOL Andrew Dennis, who chose the Illini after decommitting from Michigan State. He is the No. 226 overall prospect and No. 14 IOL in the cycle.
“I have had a great relationship with the staff at Illinois for well over a year,” Dennis told On3 of his decision. “I had a lot of the questions that had already been answered going into the visit, so I was excited to meet the guys on the team and see how I meshed with them. The style of play, the coaching, and the guys on the team made me realize that it was the right fit.”
In total, the class features 19 signees. Dennis is the lone blue-chipper, while the likes of Hutchinson (Kan.) JUCO three-star EDGE Daniel Brown, Chandler (Ariz.) three-star running back Ca’lil Valentine and Tallahassee (Fla.) Gadsden County three-star EDGE Josaiah Knight help highlight the top of the group.
