2025 DL Isaiah White commits to Illinois
Indianapolis Ben Davis three-star defensive lineman Isaiah White has committed to Illinois, he announced on Monday morning.
He chose the Fighting Illini over Michigan State, Minnesota, Louisville, West Virginia and others.
White is the No. 872 overall prospect and No. 79 DL in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 14 player in Indiana.
The 6-foot-3, 270-pounder was in Urbana-Champaign over the weekend for his official visit. Not long after, he’s made the call in favor of Bret Bielema and Co. White is commitment No. 9 for Illinois this cycle.

The Illini’s class has a usual Midwest flavor as the recruiting trail heats up. Eight of the nine commits in the class hail from either Illinois, Missouri, Indiana or Wisconsin. The class as a whole currently ranks No. 44 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
The pledge list currently features only three-stars, as of June 10. Mt. Zion (Ill.) three-star wide receiver Brayden Trimble is the top-ranked prospect in the class, checking in at No. 490 overall and No. 11 in the Prairie State.

Saint Louis Cardinal Ritter three-star quarterback Carson Boyd committed at the end of January and is currently the No. 40 signal-caller in the cycle. He’s also the No. 9 player in Missouri.
White is the second defensive lineman commit in the class, as he now flanks Flossmoor (Ill.) Homewood three-star DL Cameron Brooks. Other top pledges in the mix include Blue Island (Ill.) Eisenhower three-star athlete Andre Lovett, Tinley Park (Ill.) Victor J. Andrew three-star interior offensive lineman Michael McDonough and Indianapolis Lawrence North three-star WR Davion Chandler.
The class also currently ranks No. 14 in the Big Ten. The Illini check in ahead of Michigan State, Northwestern, Maryland and Purdue, as of June 10.
