Illinois offers 2024 On3 4-star OT Styles Prescod

Hamilton (Ind.) Hamilton Southeastern four-star offensive tackle Styles Prescod received an offer from Illinois on Thursday. He announced the news over social media.

Prescod is the No. 627 overall prospect and No. 43 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 8 player in Indiana and a three-star recruit.

On3 rates Prescod higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per the 2024 On300, he is a four-star recruit, the No. 266 overall prospect, No. 19 offensive tackle and No. 4 player in Indiana.

The 6-foot-6, 280-pound recruit holds 23 offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, Notre Dame has a commanding lead for his commitment at 89.5%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Illinois’ 2024 recruiting class contains one commitment. Mundelein (Ill.) Mundelein Cons three-star offensive tackle Brandon Hansen chose the Fighting Illini on Nov. 22. 

Prescod has an On3 NIL Valuation of $7.8K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
