Fishers (Ind.) three-star running back Khobie Martin has announced his commitment to the in-state Indiana Hoosiers.

Martin decommitted from Miami (Ohio) earlier this week after initially committing in April.

Martin is the No. 1381 overall prospect and No. 104 running back in the 2024 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 21 player in Indiana.

He does not currently have a publicly listed On3 NIL Valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Martin adds needed position to Indiana class

Indiana currently ranks No. 57 in the 2024 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings and No. 17 among Big Ten schools. Martin is currently the only running back committed to Indiana. Madison (Ohio) Trotwood-Madison three-star quarterback Timothy Carpenter headlines the class and pledged to the Hoosiers back in May.

Martin is the first prospect to commit to Indiana since July. Four pledged to the Hoosiers that month in Miramar (Fla.) three-star EDGE Shamar Meikle, Mount Horeb (Wis.) three-star offensive tackle Austin Leibfried, Manassas (Va.) Freedom three-star safety Kameron Courtney and Homerville (Ga.) Clinch County three-star wide receiver Jeremy Bell.

Indiana is up to 18 commitments in the 2024 cycle, of which 22% hail from the state of Indiana. The Hoosiers sit just ahead of Northwestern in the Big Ten recruiting class rankings — the Wildcats rank No. 89 nationally and have lost a pile of recruits since former head coach Pat Fitzgerald was dismissed from the program this summer.

With Martin’s decommitment earlier this week, Miami dropped to 18 recruits in its 2024 class. The Redhawks rank No. 81 nationally and No. 2 in the MAC. Their class is led by Columbus (Ohio) Marion-Franklin three-star running back Tito Glass.
