3-star LB Isaiah Chisom offered by Indiana

Los Angeles (Calif.) Chaminade three-star linebacker Isaiah Chisom received an offer from Indiana on Thursday night. He announced the news over social media.

Chisom, a 6-foot-1, 220 pound prospect, is the No. 1,224 overall prospect and No. 110 linebacker in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 112 player in California.

The Hoosiers marked Chisom’s ninth offer. In July, he announced a top five of California, Fresno State, Oregon State, USC and Utah.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Beavers have a commanding lead for Chisom’s commitment at 92.2%. The Trojans have the next-best odds at 3.9%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Regarding Indiana, the Hoosiers’ 2023 recruiting class contains eight commitments. The highest-ranked prospect in Indiana’s group is Lake City (Fla.) three-star safety Amare Ferrell. If Chisom chooses the Hoosiers, he would be the first linebacker in Indiana’s 2023 class.

Chisom has an On3 NIL Valuation of $12.9K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
