3-star quarterback Broc Lowry commits to Indiana

Canfield (Ohio) quarterback Broc Lowry has committed to Indiana, he announced Thursday evening on social media.
Lowry is the No. 948 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 51 signal-caller and the No. 33 player in the state of Ohio.
The Industry Comparison shows On3 is higher on Lowry than the other major recruiting services, though he hasn’t received a national ranking yet. In the most recent On3 rankings, he was tabbed as the country’s No. 22 quarterback and the No. 9 prospect in Ohio State.
“I am blessed to announce my commitment to Indiana University!” Lowry wrote on Twitter. “I couldn’t have done it without the help from my parents, teammates and coaches. I would personally like to thank Coach Pav, Coach Cochran, and Jim Ballard for helping me out through this process, along with developing me as a player and a person. Huge thanks to Coach Bell and Coach Allen for the opportunity to play at the next level. Go Hoosiers.”

The 6-foot-1, 200-pounder chose the Hoosiers over offers from Cal, Iowa State, Toledo, Youngstown State and a handful of other programs. He is Indiana’s third commitment in the 2023 class, joining three-star tight end Sam West and three-star offensive lineman William Larkins.
As a junior, Broc Lowry completed 65 percent of his passes for 1,921 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also ran for 871 yards and 13 scores.
