Davidson transfer power forward Reed Bailey has officially committed to the Indiana Hoosiers, On3’s Joe Tipton reported on Saturday evening. In the On3 Transfer Portal Rankings, he is currently ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 23 prospect in the country, as well as the No. 10 power forward in America.

This season, Bailey stuffed the stat sheet with 18.8 points per game, 6.1 points per game, and 3.8 assists per game, while shooting 47.7% from the field. He also connected on 41.5% of his shots from beyond-the-arc. In the 2023-2024 season, he started in all 32 games, averaging 9.2 points per outing while shooting 44.8 percent from the floor.

He also grabbed 5.8 rebounds per game. Bailey also scored a career-high 24 points at Fordham (Jan. 17), while also tallying the first double-double of his career with 12 rebounds. He poured in double figures 21 times, including six 20-plus point performances. He also finished with three double-doubles in the 2023-2024 campaign.

In 2022-2023 as a freshman, he started 32 games, scoring in double figures five times. He poured in a season-high of 20 points in the Wildcats’ home win over San Francisco (11/25). As a high school prospect, Bailey played for Brewster Academy (Wolfesboro, New Hampshire), where he served as a team captain. He was unranked in the On3 Industry Rankings for the 2022 cycle.

Indiana went 19-13 overall this season, ranking 9th in the Big Ten Conference. The Hoosiers recently hired Darian DeVries as their next basketball coach. DeVries will replace Mike Woodson, who led the program for four seasons but, in February, announced he would be stepping away from the role at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season. DeVries only spent one season at West Virginia. The Mountaineers finished with a 19-13 overall record and a 10-10 mark in conference play this season.
