4-star 2023 cornerback Daeh McCullough reaffirms pledge to Indiana
Daeh McCullough isn’t going anywhere.
A day after his father, Deland, was announced as Notre Dame’s new running backs coach, the four-star prospect tweeted that he is still fully committed to Indiana. The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder committed to the Hoosiers in April when his dad was on staff.
McCullough is the No. 179 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 23 cornerback and the No. 3 prospect in Indiana.
“Family regardless of where are we are!! Proud of you and love,” Daeh McCullough wrote on Twitter. His post was accompanied by a graphic that read: “100% LOCKED IN.”
In February, Deland McCullough announced he was coming back for a second stint with the program. He previously served as the Hoosiers’ running backs coach from 2011-15. After winning a Super Bowl ring and reaching another with the Kansas City Chiefs, McCullough returned to Bloomington as Indiana’s associate head coach/running backs coach.

Daeh McCullough, McCullough’s third son, committed to Indiana two months later. His oldest son, Deland McCullough II, announced his transfer to the Hoosiers from Miami (Ohio) two weeks later.
Less than 24 hours later, the highest-ranked recruit in program history put the biggest icing on the cake. Dasan McCullough, a top-100 EDGE in the 2022 class committed to Ohio State, flipped his commitment from the Buckeyes to Indiana.
Daeh McCullough isn’t the only one remaining at Indiana
Dasan has since enrolled and Deland is still on the Hoosiers’ roster and played in 10 games as a reserve this season. While it was thought that the brothers might followed their dad to South Bend, it’ll remain a family affair in Bloomington with the three brothers.
The Hoosiers signed their best class in program history in 2022, with Dasan joined by four other four-star prospects. Ahead of National Signing Day, Indiana ranks No. 24 nationally and No. 5 in the Big Ten, according to the On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings.
