Sitting courtside at a basketball game is a pretty incredible experience, but sometimes fans can cause problems from time to time, being so extremely close to the action. On Saturday afternoon, and Indiana fan interfered with a ball going out of bounds against Ohio State, but no call was made by the referees.

To be fair to the fan, it looked like there was nothing intentional there. They were merely just trying to help. Ohio State finished with two players in double digits–Devin Royal (13 points) and Micah Parrish (19 points). The Buckeyes also got nine points from Bruce Thornton and seven points from John Mobley, Jr.

Indiana actually trailed 29-25 at halftime, but rallied to prevail 66-60, after they outscored the Buckeyes 41-31 after halftime. OSU only hit 8 of 26 three-pointers (30.8%). Indiana didn’t do any better from beyond-the-arc, hitting just 5 of 20 shots from deep (25.0%). The Hoosiers made up plenty of ground from the free-throw line, where they hit 23 of 31 shots (74.2%).

Trey Galloway and Malik Reneau both led the way for Indiana, pouring in 16 points each. Galloway hit some big-time buckets down the stretch, including a massive three-pointer late to ice the game. He hit 3 of his 7 shots from downtown. Reneau chipped in five rebounds and connected on five of his ten shots from the field in 22 minutes of work.

The Hoosiers were dominant on the glass, outrebounding OSU 40-31 on Saturday. Both teams shot below 40 percent from the field, but Indiana shot more than double (31) the number of free throws that Ohio State did (15).

Luke Goode also stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points and eight rebounds for the Hoosiers. With the win, Indiana improved to 19-12 overall and 10-10 in the Big Ten Conference. Ohio State dropped to 17-14 overall and 9-11 in the Big Ten.
