2025 CB Chris McCorkle commits to Indiana Hoosiers
Sarasota (Fla.) Cardinal Mooney three-star cornerback Chris McCorkle has committed to Indiana, he announced on Friday night.
He chose the Hoosiers over Florida, Iowa, Kansas and others.
McCorkle is the No. 404 overall prospect and No. 38 corner in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 57 player in Florida.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pounder becomes the highest-ranked pledge in the fold for new head coach Curt Cignetti and Co. Indiana now has eight commitments in its 2025 class — which ranks No. 53 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Indiana adds to growing 2025 class
The addition of McCorkle is a big one for Cignetti and the new staff in Bloomington. The Sunshine State DB is set to return for his official visit with the Hoosiers from May 31-June 2.

McCorkle is the fourth defensive back to commit to Indiana this cycle and the fifth prospect to announce his pledge this month. Elmhurst (Ill.) Nazareth three-star safety Garrett Reese, Hollywood (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas safety Travares Daniels and Baltimore Calvert Hall CB Byron Baldwin flank McCorkle in the secondary.
Three-star wide receiver LeBron Bond is one of many touted prospects set to come out of Norfolk (Va.) Maury High this cycle. He committed to IU on April 7 and is one of four commits on the offensive side of the ball.
Carmel (Ind.) three-star interior offensive lineman Evan Parker is currently the lone in-state pledge in the class, as he and Orland Park (Ill.) Carl Sandburg three-star offensive tackle Matt Marek add some beef in the trenches. Prairie Du Chien (Wisc.) tight end Blake Thiry also committed this month and rounds out the class.
