Jon Gruden Wikipedia page edited to include Indiana job amid links
There are few coaches who are included in rumors as often as Jon Gruden is. The former NFL head coach won a Super Bowl with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before spending time in the booth and returning to coach the Raiders.
The latest rumor for Gruden is that he could be on his way to Bloomington to coach the Indiana Hoosiers. Certainly, it would be a hire that caught a lot of people’s attention if it were to happen.
Perhaps excited about the possibility, Wikipedia users added the Indiana job to Jon Gruden’s Wikipedia page.
Wikipedia, which is always on top of incorrect edits, changed his resume back to reflect that he is not the Indiana coach. Still, screenshots of the incident are going to live on.
Hiring Gruden would be a bold decision by Indiana. Now 60 years old, he hasn’t coached in college since 1991. Even in the NFL, he struggled to find consistency in his most recent stint as the Raiders head coach, going just 22-31 in his second stint with the team. Even outside of his Super Bowl season in Tampa Bay, Gruden struggled to put up winning seasons, going 57-55 there.
Jon Gruden’s time with the Raiders ended amid a scandal, with him resigning due to an email leak that saw him use homophobic, racist, and misogynistic language.
