North Florida’s Josh Harris has committed to Indiana from the NCAA Transfer Portal. That comes per reporting by On3’s Joe Tipton.

Tipton had reported a pair of visits this week in the portal for Harris with one with Indiana on Monday before going to Miami on Wednesday. However, Harris won’t be making it back for that second one with this news out of Bloomington on Tuesday.

Harris, a native of Pembroke Pines, Florida, just finished his freshman season at North Florida. He, in starting in all of their 30 games, averaged 13.4 points (55.7% FG)and 7.1 rebounds per game for the Ospreys as their leader on the glass and as the second-highest scorer. That also earned him a spot on the All-Freshman Team in the Atlantic Sun.

“One of the first qualities that stood out about Josh Harris was his simplified approach to the game, unique for someone with such a high level of skill and size. Josh always makes his teams better by keeping the ball hot, sharing it and scoring it from three or at the rim. What’s also unique is that he rarely looks hurried,” Matthew Driscoll said of Harris. “Josh has the same approach to things off the floor, while having a passion to serve and be a daily difference in someone’s life.”

With that, Harris is one of the top overall players available left in the portal. Per the latest update to On3’s Industry Ranking of 2025’s Top Transfer Portal Players, Harris is at No. 122 overall and the No. 25 PF, which had him as the No. 31 player and No. 7 PF still available to transfer.

Harris now brings the total number of transfer additions this offseason to double-digits for Indiana. That’s amidst the Hoosiers’ hire of Darian DeVries with IU losing eight players to while adding ten players, seven since mid-April, from the portal. This is also their second addition from out of Jacksonville as they added Jasai Miles, the leading scorer last season for North Florida, as well. They’ve earned commitments too from Tucker DeVries (West Virginia), Reed Bailey (Davidson), Lamar Wilkerson (Sam Houston State), Sam Alexis (Florida), Tayton Conerway (Troy), Nick Dorn (Elon), Conor Enright (DePaul), and Jason Drake (Drexel). That’s a Top-20 class in the portal per On3 with seven of those transfers being in the Top-150.
