Trayce Jackson-Davis has made his decision. The 2022-23 season will be his last at Indiana, he announced Saturday.

Jackson-Davis confirmed his plans with Stadium’s Jeff Goodman after the Hoosiers defeated Illinois at Assembly Hall. He has put himself squarely in the conversation for National Player of the Year, averaging 20.3 points and 11.3 rebounds per game this season. He will participate in the senior night festivities next week.

“I feel like it kind of speaks for itself, but I feel like four years is enough for me. … Sometimes, you’ve got to move on,” Jackson-Davis told Goodman. “I’m grateful for my time here. I’ll save the rest for senior night.”

Jackson-Davis could have gone to the NBA Draft last year but opted to come back to Bloomington for another go-round. His return has sparked Indiana, which improved to 19-8 overall and 10-6 in Big Ten action with the victory over Illinois.

In Saturday’s game, Jackson-Davis had 26 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks as the Hoosiers fought off the Fighting Illini 71-68. Indiana has just four games left in the regular season, starting with a matchup with Michigan State Feb. 21.

Indiana is the No. 13 overall seed in NCAA selection committee’s top 16

With just a few weeks of action remaining before conference tournaments, the NCAA Selection Committee has revealed their current Top 16 seeds for March Madness.

In a season where there hasn’t been a clear-cut No. 1 team, but rather a constellation of top contenders shuffling around the top of the rankings, these seeds are certainly open to debate. And they’ll almost certainly be different come selection Sunday.

As things currently stand, the Big 12 is in great shape to dominate the top seed lines. Between KansasTexasBaylorIowa State and Kansas State, the league has a handful of teams likely to land in the Top 16. The Pac-12 and West Coast also makes a strong showing with Arizona, UCLA and Gonzaga among the top teams, nationally. The state of Texas is well-repped, too, with the aforementioned Longhorns and Bears being joined by Houston near the top.
