2024 3-star ATH KJ Parker commits to Iowa Hawkeyes
Immaculate Conception (Elmhurst, Ill.) athlete KJ Parker has committed to the Iowa Hawkeyes.
He chose the Hawkeyes over Cincinnati, Western Michigan, Buffalo and Illinois State. The Illinois native also held offers from Wisconsin and Iowa State.
Parker is the No. 1037 overall prospect and the No. 55 athlete in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 22 player in Illinois.
The 5-foot-11, 165-pounder took an official visit to Iowa City the weekend of June 23 after unofficially visiting the Hawkeyes earlier this spring. His other June official visit was to Cincinnati.
“At the visit, what really stood out to me is how much of a brotherhood it is at Iowa,” Parker told Hawkeye Report after his visit. “I really love how the coaches took the time to build a connection with myself and the other players. They really let me get a feel for how college is going to be by taking us step by step on how the process will go.”

Parker told Hawkeye Report that star Iowa safety Xavier Nwankpa was his host for the visit. He also met with Hawkeyes wide receivers coach Kelton Copeland.
Parker currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $13.1K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
