Caitlin Clark, Jason Sudekis pose with AFC Richmond jersey from Ted Lasso series
Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark did it all in college, setting just about every scoring record in the book and reaching the national championship game twice.
In doing so, she had the unique opportunity to meet some legendary people. Legendary characters, even.
Like one Ted Lasso.
Actor Jason Sudekis was a regular at Iowa’s postseason games, taking in the majesty that is Caitlin Clark as much as he could. He was so into the women’s game that he even joined The Bird & Taurasi Show during the national championship game broadcast to discuss Clark and her ability.
Following the game, Sudekis shared something extra special with Clark: A Richmond AFC jersey, the jersey worn by his players in the TV series Ted Lasso.
Check it out below.
The show itself certainly has a lot of meaningful messages that Caitlin Clark could take and apply to her game. First and foremost, the show deals with treating people the right way.

From her position, Clark has the chance to influence a ton of people with how she acts, and becoming a Lasso-like figure would only serve to enhance the enormity of her profile. Clark already comes off pretty close.
She was humble and appreciative at every turn of her journey this season, first as she set the NCAA career scoring mark and then as she chased a national title down the stretch.
And if Clark is feeling dismayed after coming up short against South Carolina, she can remember Lasso’s tremendous advice: Be a goldfish. In other words, have a 10-second memory and get back to feeling happy.
Caitlin Clark will have a whole lot to look forward to. Monday night she’s likely to become the No. 1 overall pick in the WNBA Draft, where she’ll begin the next part of her basketball career.
If the last few years are any indication, buckle up. It promises to be a fun ride.
