Three-star defensive lineman Brian Allen — who is from Woodstock, Illinois, and plays for Oakdale (Conn.) St. Thomas More — has committed to Iowa.

The On3 Consensus – a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies – has Allen as the No. 637 overall player in the country, No. 72 defensive lineman in the nation and No. 1 player from the state of Connecticut.

Iowa’s recruiting class is led by Altoona (Ia.) Southeast Polk four-star safety Xavier Nwankpa, Gowrie (Ia.) Southeast Valley four-star defensive lineman Aaron Graves and Hamilton (Ohio) four-star running back Kaleb Johnson.

The Hawkeyes now have 13 commits in the class with Allen joining the offensive-heavy group.

Brian Allen was previously committed to Illinois before decommitting earlier in the fall.
