Keegan Murray added yet another record to his resume this weekend. The Iowa Hawkeyes dropped 32 points to lead his team to an 80-77 victory against Indiana in a Big Ten Tournament semifinal game Saturday.

With his performance, Murray became the first player in Big Ten Tournament history to score 25 points in three consecutive games, according to ESPN Stats and Info. He dropped 26 points in each of the past two contests, and Iowa now sets up to face the winner of Purdue and Michigan State in the championship game on Sunday.

Saturday’s game against the Hoosiers came down to the final seconds, as Jordan Bohannon banked in a deep 3-pointer with 0.8 seconds left to secure the win. Murray also had nine rebounds in the game while shooting an incredible 8-for-10 from 3-point range.

It was the second time in as many days that Keegan Murray broke a record. The sophomore became Iowa’s single-season leading scorer in an 84-74 win against Rutgers in the Big Ten quarterfinals. His season total is up to 782, which puts him ahead of Luka Garza, who set the school record last season with 747 points. Murray was named a first team All-Big Ten selection this season after leading the conference with 23.4 points per game.

Garza, who was drafted by Detroit in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft, still holds the program’s all-time record with 2,306 points. However, given that Murray is only a sophomore, he has plenty of time to catch him should he stick around another couple of seasons. Bohannon, who is in his sixth year with the program, ranks third all-time with 2,008 points.

Iowa was already safely in the NCAA Tournament when the Big Ten Tournament began, but may have moved up a seed line thanks to its run. The Hawkeyes moved up to a five seed in On3’s latest bracketology projections, released Saturday morning. They have a chance to solidify that spot with the victory in the Big Ten Championship Game at 3:30 p.m. ET Sunday.

Directly after that, they’ll find out their March Madness first round matchup in the NCAA Selection Show at 6 p.m. ET on CBS.
