Tom Brands on Iowa-Oklahoma State dual: 'Good for our fans'

Tom Brands knows what’s next for Iowa as the college wrestling regular season comes to a close: Oklahoma State.
The No. 3 Hawkeyes dominated Northwestern 37-3 Sunday and will take on an undefeated Oklahoma State, ranked No. 2 in the country. We’re now just a week away from Iowa-Oklahoma State in Iowa City.
But don’t let Brands tell you about that dual unless you want to know they are in fact wrestling against one another.
“We got Oklahoma State in a week and talking about, you know, that all the things that you sprinkle on top of that,” Brands said. “Good for our fans.”
When asked about what David Taylor brings to the table in his first year as head coach of Oklahoma State, Brands kept it simple.

Well, simpler than simple.
“I mean, it’s been a full year of division one wrestling,” Brands said. “There’s a lot to … do your research if you don’t know. So I’ll let the folks at home do the research … We got to keep it moving in the right direction. That’s where we’re at. Oklahoma State, one week.”
