WATCH: Riley Moss snags second pick-six for Iowa against Indiana
As Indiana ran it’s two-minute offense at the end of the first half, Riley Moss of Iowa intercepted his second pass for a touchdown of the game. The senior cornerback started his year strong with two defensive touchdowns to put Iowa up 28-3 late in the second quarter.

In one of the most anticipated games of the weekend, 18th ranked Iowa hosted 17th ranked Indiana for their season openers. In a great first half performance, Iowa’s defense forced three interceptions.
Just over two minutes into the game, Moss intercepted a pass from quarterback Michael Penix Jr. on the Hoosiers’ first drive of the game. Moss’ 30-yard interception for a touchdown gave Iowa a 14-0 lead before three minutes had passed.
Later in the final two minutes of the first half, Moss picked off Penix again by jumping a quick curl route. Moss took his second interception for a touchdown 55 yards and put Iowa up 28-3. Iowa would intercept another pass from Penix on the following drive and kicked a field goal as time expired to enter the half up 31-3.

In each of Moss’ first three seasons with Iowa, he had two interceptions per year. In his junior season last year, Moss returned one of his interceptions for a touchdown for the first time in his college career.

On Saturday, Moss reached his two interceptions in just one game, giving him eight for his career for three touchdowns. His hot start will set him up nicely in his bid to be one of the Big Ten’s best cornerbacks.
Moss was a lifelong Iowa fan before joining the team as a blueshirt freshman. Iowa asked him at the time to come to their campus despite having no scholarships to offer at that time.
Moss was so eager to play for Iowa he was willing to join the school for two semesters before officially getting a scholarship the following January. Iowa fans on Saturday were glad he chose to become one of the Hawkeyes.
