Saturday’s game between Iowa State and TCU ended in dramatic fashion, as the Cyclones upended the Horned Frogs 69-67 on a last-second buzzer beating 3-point shot from guard Gabe Kalscheur.

With 1.3 seconds remaining, Klascheur nailed a step-back triple to put ISU in front. On the very next play, the Cyclones guard came away with a steal to secure the victory.

Kalscheur led the Cyclones in scoring with 15 points on 7-of-14 shooting on the afternoon in addition to the game-winning shot. He also had four assists and three rebounds on the day.

Kalschuer has appeared in 13 games with three starts this season, averaging 10.5 points across 29.5 minutes per game. With the win over TCU, Iowa State improves to 12-2 this season and 3-0 in Big 12 play.

The Cyclones led for much of the second half against the Horned Frogs, holding a 66-58 advantage with just over two minutes remaining. However, TCU would go on a 9-0 run from that point to take a one-point lead after Mike Miles nailed a pair of free throws with 23 seconds remaining.

Kalscheur was one of five Cyclones to finish in double figures, as ISU led TCU 24-12 in bench points. Twenty-twoo of those 24 points came from the duo of Robert Jones and Tre King.

Iowa State will hope to remain undefeated in Big 12 play when it next faces Texas Tech at 7 p.m. CT on Tuesday.
