Iowa State hiring North Dakota State assistant Noah Pauley as receivers coach
Iowa State is set to hire North Dakota State’s Noah Pauley as its new wide receiver’s coach, according to On3’s Matt Zenitz.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel first reported the news of Pauley’s move to a Power Five staff. Pauley had some pedigree coming in though, as he coached current Green Bay Packers wideout Christian Watson.
Watson’s final season with North Dakota State was his best. He had 43 catches for 801 yards, seven touchdowns and 18.6 yards per catch.
He was a second round pick by the Packers in the 2022 NFL Draft and broke out in the latter half of the season.

Pauley joined the North Dakota State staff in 2018 as the wide receivers coach. Previously, he worked at Minnesota-Duluth as the offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach for three seasons.
Pauley helped lead North Dakota State to two FCS Division I national championships. He was a four-year starter for Minnesota-Duluth as a player from 2007 to 2010.
He played on teams that went 45-8 and won two Division II national championships before joining the Bulldogs staff as a student assistant for the 2011 season.
Now, he’ll aid the staff under Matt Campbell with the Cyclones.
