Iowa State offers 3-star defensive lineman DK Kalu
Iowa State has extended an offer to Missouri City (Texas) Ridge Point three-star defensive lineman DK Kalu.
Kalu is the No. 510 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. That makes him the No. 93 prospect in the state of Texas.
Nevada (Iowa) tight end Carson Rhodes is the lone commit in the 2023 Cyclones recruiting class.
Rhodes currently has On3 NIL Valuation of $7.5k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

DK Kalu is the son of former NFL defensive end N. D. Kalu
N.D. Kalu played 12 seasons in the NFL after a college career at Rice. He was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles before playing for Washington and the Houston Texans — along with a second run in the City of Brotherly Love.
Kalu’s most productive seasons in his career came with the Eagles. He had eight sacks as a backup defensive lineman in 2002 before starting all 16 games in 2003.
He did miss all of the 2004 season — when Philadelphia made the Super Bowl — due to a torn ACL.
N.D. Kalu finished his career with 136 career games played, 31.0 sacks and 195 tackles.
