Kansas ATH Wesley Fair adds second Big 12 offer this week
It’s official. Wichita (Kan.) Collegiate star athlete Wesley Fair has become one of the Midlands’ fastest-rising recruits.
Wesley Fair had an excellent junior season that saw him rack up more than 1,104 yards of total offense and 12 touchdowns. The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder also averaged more than 220 yards a game for Collegiate.
Wesley Fair picked up an offer last week from Louisiana Tech, and then he was offered by Kansas State on Sunday. The K-State offer was joined by another Big 12 program on Wednesday.
Fair shared on social media that Iowa State offered him a scholarship. Iowa State has made a living recruiting in the Sunflower State, especially in Wichita over the years.
Cyclone All-America running back Breece Hall was a four-star recruit coming out of Wichita Northwest in the 2019 class. Plus, Iowa State has also landed Kansas recruits in almost every class since Matt Campbell arrived in Ames.
For Fair, he’s happy for all the attention he’s received from K-State and Iowa State over the past few weeks. But he also knows the real work is just getting started.
“I am more than thankful to receive the offers,” he said. “I have been working really hard to receive an opportunity to play at the next level. Now I have to work even harder. I have a very blessed life. I want to thank everyone for helping me along the way.”

Fair is also getting interest from Minnesota – he visited for a game in October. But the local offer from K-State has the Wildcats trending. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine lists the Wildcats as the clear-cut team to beat with a 74.1% chance of him ending up in Manhattan. He’ll be on an unofficial visit again to K-State this weekend.
Wesley Fair part of deep 2023 Kansas class
Wesley Fair is just one of the top names in what is shaping up as a memorable class in the Sunflower State.
Lawrence Free State offensive tackle Calvin Clements, Wichita Heights running back John Randle Jr., Maize quarterback Avery Johnson and Eudora tight end Jaden Hamm are all ranked as four-star prospects.
However, Derby running back Dylan Edwards, Topeka Hayden lineman Joe Otting, Wichita Kapaun Mt. Carmel tight end Will Anciaux and others are very much on the national recruiting radar.
And it appears that Fair is well on his way to adding his name to the list of players that will be recruited at a high level.
