Class of 2023 four-star power forward Milan Momcilovic has committed to Iowa State, he told On3.

The 6-foot-8, 190-pound prospect out of Pewaukee (Wis.) High chose the Cyclones over Michigan State, UCLA, Virginia, Minnesota, and Louisville. Momcilovic is Iowa State’s second addition to the 2023 class, joining four-star SG Jelani Hamilton (No. 104).

Momcilovic ranks as the No. 44 prospect in the 2023 class according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also ranked as the No. 9 power forward and the No. 1 player in the state of Wisconsin.

Momcilovic talks commitment to Iowa State

“When I started this process I quickly realized that one of the most important things that I was looking for was a strong relationship with the coaching staff,” Momcilovic said to On3. “Iowa State, Coach TJ Otzelberger, and JR Blount invested a lot of time to build that relationship and never wavered in their commitment to me. Fit and opportunity were also very important to me. I am ready to put the hard work in and prove myself.”

Scouting Summary

Milan Momcilovic is a skilled post player. He is confident with the ball in his hands and can make plays from multiple areas on the floor. The athleticism will be a question, but he has an array of ball fakes and footwork to be able to get a shot off. He has good hands. I would like to see him rebound more, and the jump shot release is inconsistent from three, but he has touch and can step out and take a shot. He can draw fouls well in the mid-range and mid-post, and get to the free-throw line. – On3’s Jamie Shaw, National Recruiting Analyst
