Veteran Iowa State cornerback enters transfer portal

Iowa State cornerback Datrone Young entered the transfer portal Friday, On3 has learned.

Young has made 25 career starts for the Cyclones, including seven last season.

Young, a Florida native who was part of Iowa State’s 2017 recruiting class, finished last year with 31 tackles and an interception. Aided by Young, the Cyclones finished the season ranked No. 1 in the Big 12 in pass defense and No. 2 in total defense.
