2025 4-star LB Malachi Curvey commits to Kansas

Waukee (Iowa) Senior four-star 2025 linebacker Malachi Curvey has committed to Kansas, he announced on Sunday.
Curvey chose the Jayhawks over offers from Iowa State, Kansas State, Missouri and interest from a handful of other programs.
“It is said often but I would first like to truly thank God for the position i’m in and the opportunities He has provided for me, I would not have the gifts or guidance that I do if it wasn’t for Him,” Curvey wrote on Twitter. “I would also like to thank my entire family and support system with helping me get to where I am through the highs and lows to shape me into the man i’m becoming. I want to thank my parents specifically for sacrificing a lot of time and money into this entire process while believing in me whole heartedly. Lastly I want to thank all coaches and schools that have been a part of my recruitment and shown interest in me as a player, with that being said after lots of conversations, thoughts, and prayer, I would like to verbally commit to the University of Kansas!
The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder is the No. 248 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 27 linebacker and the No. 2 recruit in Iowa.

On3 is significantly higher on Curvey than other recruiting services, though. In the most recent On300 rankings, he was tabbed as the country’s No. 71 overall prospect, No. 12 linebacker and top recruit in the Hawkeye State.
He is the second commitment in the 2025 cycle for the Jayhawks, joining three-quarterback David McComb of Edmond (Okla.) Memorial High.
