Sarasota (Fla.) Cardinal Mooney three-star cornerback Chris McCorkle has committed to Kansas, he announced on Saturday.

He chose the Jayhawks following his decommitment from Indiana on June 16.

McCorkle is the No. 525 overall prospect and No. 47 corner in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 71 player in Florida.

Lance Leipold and Co. offered the 6-foot-1 defensive back exactly one year ago to the day of his commitment. McCorkle becomes commitment No. 15 for the Jayhawks in the 2025 cycle and is now the third highest-ranked pledge in a class that ranks No. 63 in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

After inking the No. 41 class last cycle, Kansas currently has just one blue-chipper in its 2025 class: Overland Park (Kan.) native and St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) High four-star defensive lineman Juju Marks made the call in favor of the home-state school on June 9.
