Five-star Elmarko Jackson committed to Kansas in October. His final group of schools also included Texas, Villanova, Miami, and Notre Dame.

On3 sat down with the South Kent (CT) School point guard recently to hear him break down his incoming class at Kansas.

Five-star PG Elmarko Jackson

“I’m a lead guard who gets downhill. I can create shots for myself and create shots for my teammates. I’m a high-energy guard and bring a great energy to my team. I have a win-at-all-costs mindset.”

Four-star CG Chris Johnson

“I always loved playing against Chris Johnson. He brings great energy, a lot of energy. I feed off that on the court. They won Under Armour, and he’s at Montverde now, so he’s won a lot. I’m excited to play with him in the backcourt.”

Four-star SG Jamari McDowell

“I played against Jamari (McDowell) and Chris in AAU. He is a knockdown shooter; he can really shoot the ball with good size. That’s going to make the game so much easier just having a lights-out shooter in the corner when I drive. The defense is going to have to cover him or cover me, and one of us will get an open look.”

The 2022-23 Jayhawks

“I feel like the team is really good. Dajuan Harris is the best point guard in all of college basketball. The stuff he does on the court that contributes to winning is crazy. Me personally, I cannot wait to play with him. I think they’re going to make a run this year, they got the team to do that.”
