Although he’s now retired from coaching college basketball, legendary coach Roy Williams is still around the game. The former Kansas and North Carolina head man compiled a 903-264 overall record in 33 years and decided to step away from the coaching field back in April.

With Williams no longer coaching, he’s now able to attend games as a fan in the stands – and that’s what he is doing Tuesday night. With No. 9 ranked Kansas taking on No. 15 Iowa State at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Williams is in the house to watch his former team in a marquee Big 12 Conference matchup.

Williams, 71, coached at Kansas from 1988-2003, compiling a 418-101 overall record with plenty of regular-season conference championships, conference tournament championships and NCAA Tournament appearances.

Williams was inducted into the College Basketball Hall of Fame in 2006 and Basketball Hall of Fame in 2007.
