Kansas guard Rakease Passmore has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. He averaged 0.7 points, 0.6 rebounds and 0.3 assists for the Jayhawks in 23 appearances during the 2024-25 campaign.

He played high school basketball at Combine Academy (Palatka, FL), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 42 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Passmore held offers from a number of schools before choosing to join the Big 12 program. Aside from Kansas, Wake Forest, Mississippi State, LSU and Indiana were interested. We’ll see if any of those teams decide to reach out this time around, as he looks for a new home in the transfer portal.

As of Wednesday, March 26, over 1,250 Men’s College Basketball players have entered the NCAA Transfer Portal. That number is expected to grow as the 2024-25 college basketball season nears its end.

More on the Kansas Jayhawks, NCAA Transfer Portal

In addition to Rakease Passmore, Kansas forward Flory Bidunga has also informed the Jayhawks staff that he plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported. However, he is keeping the option of a return to Lawrence next season open. On3’s Joe Tipton confirmed the news.

Bidunga played one season for the Jayhawks. The 6 foot 9 freshman averaged 5.9 points per game and 5.4 rebounds during the 2024-25 season.

A former McDonald’s All-American, Bidunga was a four-star recruit and top 20 prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 17 overall recruit, No. 1 player out of the state of Indiana and No. 3 center in his class.
