Kansas offensive lineman Ar'Maj Reed-Adams plans to enter NCAA transfer portal
Kansas offensive lineman Ar’Maj Reed-Adams plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, he announced Sunday via Instagram. He spent the past four seasons playing with the Jayhawks and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
“After much consideration, I’ve made the decision to transfer from The University of Kansas,” Reed-Adams wrote. “This was a tough choice for me, as I’ve had some incredible experiences here and have met so many amazing people and teammates.
“Thank you to my team for your unwavering support and passion for me and the team have meant the world to me, and I am truly grateful for every practice, every game, and every moment we’ve shared together. I will always cherish the memories we’ve made during my time as a Jayhawk.”
Reed-Adams appeared in 31 games with 14 starts across his four years in Lawrence. He started all 11 contests he played in this season at right tackle and helped paved the way for KU to finish as a top 10 rushing attack with 206.0 yards per game. The Jayhawks finished 9-4 and won their first bowl game since 2008, defeating UNLV by a score of 49-36 in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.
As a recruit, Reed-Adams was a three-star prospect coming out of DeSoto (TX) High School. He ranked as the No. 1,574 overall player and No. 165 offensive tackle in the 2020 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Ar’Maj Reed-Adams is the fourth Kansas player to transfer from the team and the first starter. You can view the full transfer portal activity for the Jayhawks here.
